How to Freeze Dry Gummy Worms

If you’re looking for something fun to try in your freeze dryer, you need to get some gummy worms! They puff up to quadruple their original size.

Your kids will love them!

We just freeze dried a batch of Trolli brand gummy worms, and they worked out REALLY well! We used Trolli Sour Brite Crawlers.

You don’t need to do anything special to the settings on our freeze dryer for gummy worms. We just spaced out 12-13 on a tray and let the freeze dryer do its thing. They were done in about 10 hours (max).

These sour gummy worms didn’t lose any of their flavor, either!

We’ve read that some people don’t have good results with gummy worms… We think it’s probably because of the brand they use. Trolli seems to be a winner.
